Each hero category has its own qualities and set of moves. You can customize the hero's look at the start of the game too. This involves personalizing its hair, complexion, and dress. ZENONIA 5 provides three game modes to you. The first one is the Story mode in which you have various quests that you need to complete. Aside from the main quests, there are several side quests that are assigned to you as well. Completing the main quests enables you to move forward in the game while completing the side quests can earn you great rewards.

ZENONIA 5 has a huge map and it is divided into various subsections. You can move from one section to the other by reaching its end point. There are various types of enemies that you are going to encounter when trying to complete the quests in the story mode. These enemies will be out to kill you and you have to defeat them using the various weapons at your disposal. You can collect various items, armor, and even health potions by defeating these enemies. These items can later be equipped to make your hero stronger. The other two game modes that you get to play in this action RPG are Abyss and online PvP mode.
